Employment Opportunities - Your Next job might depend on this advise
We do not offer specific careers opportunities for our clients, but we do know a lot about the job opportunities available in the supplies job market. In addition we talk to lots of employers in the course of our business.
Therefore we offer the following guidance to those aspiring to a career in this business:
Get qualified - Without this you won't get an interview. Experience is fine and a useful for an employer to see you have worked in the profession. However it only shows the employer you were good at your current job not capable for the next one - qualifications do show you are ready for the next job and prepared. (Even part qualified open doors for you).
Ask what you have achieved in the last three years If the answer is not significant on your CV . Do some thing about it. Potential employers are looking for people with a track record of achieving. Have done something that saved money, resources or time?? eg I developed a new ordering method online.
Is your training and knowledge current When were you last on a course????. Employers don't want to training you, they want you to have done your part eg your development is your future and your responsibility. If you need training make a good business case, why you should be trained.
The Three A's Attitude, Adaptability, Aptitude The right attitude can get you the job, show your are malleable to meet the new job/team and show your aptitude to take up challenges willingly. Being qualified help to show these traits too.
